The Armstrong Family

Here's a tiny hint of my session today with the Armstrong Family. They were troopers!! The wind was quite "blustery" today and chilly, a sure sign  that winter is on it's way.

Well if you follow my posts a few weeks ago I posted a photo of these 5 kids back when they were barely out of diapers. Lastnight I took these photos of them playing in the leaves. WOW they certainly have grown into some GREAT kids!!! Next year we'll add little Liam into the photo.

 

 

 

 



Days r numbered...

I met the lady who owns this acreage and I offered to take some photos of the place for her. You see she plans to tear down the barn and other old buildings and create a campground in its place. A Wonderful Idea I think!! The house was built in 1924 and I'm sure the barn was as well. It's a lovely old barn and I'd love to hear the stories it could tell.

 

 

 

 

 

Can u see the mountains?

 

Good Night Sun...thanks for warming up our day. 

 

I drive by this view probably 4x a day, on this day the mountains were very clear and noticeable. However, I was once again absent-minded and FORGOT to take my camera along to take some photos.  Lastnight as the sun was setting I wandered out to see if I could still see those lovely mountains and there is a "hint" of them in the distance.  I am a prairie girl at heart and LOVE my rolling hills and wide open spaces but the mountains are just as lovely.

 

 

 

No that's not Snow...is it??

 

Well the weather man was right!!! Snow came today..it left almost as quickly though. (thank goodness) I love Fall and I'd like it to stick around for a bit as we've got some outdoor  things planned for October. Winter can come much later like perhaps Dec or Jan!!!

 

 

 

Is there moisture in those clouds?

It wasn't very long ago that we were visiting the family at the farm and it was pretty cloudy out. Of course they were in the field with harvest and we were all thinking "uh oh rain." However, my dad at 80yrs old says "Nope there's no rain in those clouds." He was right!!!  These clouds are to the East and there are some pretty dark ones to the South and West so I'm wondering if we'll get any more moisture.

 

 

Hmm did the wind do that??

 

Hmmm....did the wind do this to our trampoline or was there human intervention? I was looking out our livingroom window this morning and "uh oh" where's the trampoline? Emm says "Mom it's over there".  Low and behold this is what I found.  Now we've had some whopper wind storms lately and it's never moved before!!!! Makes me go hmmmm.
