Watch Me Mom!!

The girls were invited to a birthday party today at the Gymnastics School here in town. Emm loves the foam pit and Ely loves the trampoline.  If you look close enough you'll see the "Bignell family trait" Tongue sticking out!! Nothing quite says concentration like having your tongue stick out!!

Getting Stronger

 

 

 

So proud of my girls today!! Emm was able to push herself up on the bar tonight. She's getting stronger each week in gymnastics cause a couple of weeks ago she wasn't able to this.  Now she does it with ease. 

 

Ely is apprehensive with men and this round of swimming lessons she has a "boy teacher". Her first class dad was pretty close and kept reassuring her it was OK! I was not quite sure how this lesson was going to go but she surprised me!!! Her dad gave her a pep talk and WOW what a kid. She was shy at first with her teacher but she found her COURAGE and pulled through!! She had FUN and listened and did her VERY BEST!!!

Diaper Dog!

YUP that's a diaper!!! Well the pet stores call it a belt or some such thing. My Sam is wearing it cause he has a terrible habit of peeing all over my house when he so chooses!! Needless to say when we were building this new house I opted for NO RUG anywhere!!!! I admit it's mostly my fault that at 8yrs old he's still peeing. Yes I should put him in his kennel when I leave or put him in the dog run or put this "diaper" on him.  However, I rarely remember to do any of those things. I absolutely LOVE this dog, he's my first PET ever!! I have babied him and often times treat him like one of my kids. I'm regretting those actions now cause I've no idea how to get him to stop peeing everywhere!!! UGH!!

Now isn't that about the sweetest face ever!!!

How many triangles do  you see?? LOL Kidding. 

This roof is now covered and ready for shingles, I'm anxious to go in and see the finished product. It appears to be a bungalow style which is odd for our neighbourhood as all the houses are 2 stories.  The construction crews must be enjoying this wonderful sunshine.

So long Sunday

What an absolutely Gorgeous weekend we had!! The weather was STUNNING!! Saturday my girls and I played outside for a good 3/4 of the day. The girls were back outside again today. With the help of the neighbour and his kids they all made a pretty neat fort in the backyard. We treated ourselves to supper out tonight and on my way home I snapped this pretty shot of the setting sun.  I played with some effects on my camera and added a "fish eye" effect. 

Wide open Spaces

There are lots of people that joke around about our "wide open spaces" in Alberta. My hubby always says "You can watch your dog run away from home clear into the next province." HA HA but you know what I love our Big Open Sky and Wide Open Spaces!! On a clear day you can see right to the mountains from this road. If I would've panned a bit to the left you would've seen them.  

The kids and I spent all afternoon outside today playing in the sun and snow. I should've had my camera on me cause them and the neighbour boy and his dad built an awesome snow fort.

Superhero!

For weeks Emm's been walking around the house singing "Jesus you're my superhero." I've gotten to the point where I can sing it too. Well today the 1-T's hosted the assembly and it was all about SUPERHEROES! Each child had to dress up as their superhero and then said a few words about who was their superhero and why. Our girl Emm picked her parents as her superheroes. Funny how as a parent you really don't see yourself as such but when you take some time to see yourself through their eyes it's amazing how they see you. Thanks Emmarsyn for picking your Dad and I as your superheroes. We have a couple of "Superhero Girls" too.

Notice how she's dressed like Mom; Camera, phone, purse and hat. She wanted to dress just like Mom and be a photographer just like Mom.  Absolutely made my year!!
