Dusty ol' Farmer!!

 

Harvest is the best time of year on the farm (at least in my opinion). It's busy for sure and if you stick around for any length of time you're sure to have a job. My girls had their combine and truck rides last weekend, well tonight Mom got a ride too!!! I'm sure I'll be out again and again and again with camera in hand this weekend. Tuesday, the last summer fun day before school started we headed to the spray park with friends. It's an awesome park and the girls had so much fun playing. I've drove past it numerous times and always meant to take the girls down but we just never got around to it, until this week!! Next summer we will definatley visit this park more often!!!

 

 

Grade 1!!!

 

GRADE 1!!! WOW did it get here fast! I'm really not sure where the time has went but it seems like yesterday she was toddling around the house chasing me. She was so very excited and a bit nervous to start school today. Being a parent is the most rewarding thing ever but what people fail to tell you is that school is very TOUGH on a parent!!! Will they pay attention, will they make friends, hope they don't eat all their lunch at snack time, wash your hands after using the washroom, the list is endless. For the most part I had no problem taking her to Grade 1 this am, I was so excited for her and a bit nervous too. School is an adventure and one I hope she'll love!!

 

 

 

 

Bonfire Fun

Who doesn't like a bonfire and the tasty treats you can make over one?? While at the farm on the weekend Auntie Cheryl had a "great idea" to have one Saturday night at her place. I'm not really sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults (who really are just big kids).  They jumped bikes over a jump and played hide and seek in the dark. I'm thinking Grandma is the biggest kid of all cause she started the hide and seek game and even took a turn or two over the jump on a bike, and took each kid on a piggy back ride over the jump. LOL. Yes indeedy Bonfires are FUN FUN FUN!!

The sun was shining, the wind was a blowin' so Ben and I headed out for a walk.  We didn't go too far only from my mom's house to my sisters house, however, there's lots to see in that short distance. I meant to walk further but I detoured to my sisters house for a morning visit.

How much fun can one have in just a couple of days at the farm??? A LOT!!! Combine rides, Tandem Rides, Quad Rides, Buggy Rides, Bike Rides...the list is endless.  The cousins brought out their bike jump to show Emm how to use it.

Quiet time...

Shhhh they're sleeping!!! The miles they make in a day just amaze me. Bed time comes around and it's always the same story "Mom I'm not tired", "Mom I'm not ready for bed yet". They can stall and come up with all sorts of reasons why they should stay up just a little bit longer. It sure doesn't take long for those big blue eyes to close once that blonde head has hit the pillow!!
