Another "Blustery" day

The wind was a howling, the snow just a blowing and the drifts that I had cleared out yesterday have magically appeared again!! Needless to say the girls and I hunkered down inside today. There were tents made and movies watched. I took this photo yesterday when we saw a bit of the blue sky and sunshine. Today however, there was NO blue sky or sun just lots of wind and snow.

A work in progress

Someone has been very busy. I'm thinking it could be a barrier for a snow ball fight or the foundation of a fort. I'm guessing it was made when the weather was not quite as "fridgid" as it was today. So today I braved the wind and snapped a few photos.

 

 

 

Mater!!!

Well look who made an appearance at the RV Show on the weekend!!! Mater!!! Word had it that Lightning McQueen was there too, however, we  did not see him. Ely was very excited to have her photo taken with Mater.

A bit out of place?

 

We decided for our "family Sunday" we'd take in the RV Show at the BMO centre in Calgary. It was a very FUN day, lots of walking and lots of lovely RV's to see. I noticed this house on our way into the BMO centre and never really paid any attention to it. However, on our way out we were waiting for our friend to join us at the car and I was admiring this old house. I was wishing I would've had on my longer lens as there was a big fence all around it. It looks a bit out of place with all the high rise apartments/condos and office buildings. Can u just imagine what stories this old gal could tell?

Saturday Sunrise

My plans for "sleeping in" this morning were foiled!! Bright and Early I had a little girl informing me that it was morning and the clock said 7:00. LOL. After a half an hour of trying to go back to sleep I decided it was no use and up we got. I suppose I did get to sleep in by a half hour or so....oh well maybe tomorrow.  However I did manage to caputre this lovely sunrise this morning.  Happy Saturday everyone!

Enjoying the Sun

Meet Sam, my little dog that loves to habitually scratch at the door to go outside only to piddle on my step and then want in again. However, on these lovely sunny days he loves to sit outside in the sun and soak up the rays.

A blustery day.

The day started out foggy and slowly went downhill from there. By mid morning the wind had picked up and the snow had started to fly. Not much snow landed but that ol' wind sure cut right through a body. Needless to say we didn't venture outside much today.
