Sunset in Strathmore

We've had some lovely weather the past couple of days and the sunsets have been just as lovely.  As of yet we don't have sod so each night I take our dogs for a walk to do their  "business" and tonight I took my camera along.  Just at the end of our street tonight was this gorgeous view.  Sure is  nice to have a view like this again.

There's a park one door down from our house and I'm certain our girls are gonna be there a lot. Tonight it was all about acrobatics at the park. Somewhere my Ely turned into a monkey and my Emm a tightrope walker.  There was a lot of "Watch Me Mom" tonight.

Leaning tower of Boxes

The leaning tower of boxes just keeps getting taller and taller.  I remember our first move and how excited I was to set up our "home" in a different house. Now after 4 moves in 6 1/2 years I'm not so excited, well at least not about unpacking anyway.  I seem to shuffle the tower of boxes from room to room and eventually they end up in the garage where my hubby gets to deal with them.  I am however looking forward to setting up our "home" here in Strathmore.

Someone found her gun in a box. Sure hope she finds the missing bathroom box.

On the home stretch!! It was a LONG day but I had 2 of my best travelling buddies with me.

It's been rainy here since lastnight and I took a drive out to my fav. old swing.  The grass has grown, the trees have leaves on them now.  I sure wish I could hear the stories this old swing could tell. 

Sure hope the weather turns nice so I can go back out and take a shot or two of this guy in nice weather.

A kiss for Mom

What a FUN session we had today!! Miranda, Madison and McKinley were sooo much fun. I was very happy we were able to do family photos today.  Miranda was the master baker who baked and decorated Emm's "Pirate Izzy" birthday cake.  So as a thank you to her I wanted to do  some family photos of her and her great kids.  Thank you Miranda for being a great friend, I'm gonna miss you and the "coffee club gals"!!!

Sometimes I swear this dog thinks he's part human. Hes allowed on the couch and loves to curl up on a pillow or two and if he can manage it he'll burrow under a blanket too.  Looks like he's managed both tonight.  Guess he's had a long day.

Meet Mrs. Beasley!  When I was a little girl my cousin had a Mrs. Beasley doll and we loved playing with her.  When you pulled the rope she would talk to you and all I remember he saying was "would you like to play jump rope?" LOL  Well when Emm put on Hope's reading glasses thats who she reminded me of. 





A Very FUN Day

WOW, what a FUN packed day we've had. We spent the morning with Ely at her last day of playschool, where we watched her class sing songs, play and even got to see a slide show. Ely will certainly miss Spicer and the gang. You never forget your first teacher and I know none of us will ever forget SPICER!!!  Then it was off to the park for a final playdate for Emm and her BFF's Alee and Ava.  All four girls had soooo much fun at the park.  They reminded me of my first BFF's Shona and April. As little girls we had the best of FUN.  I still keep in touch with those gals.  It's becoming harder to say "Goodbye" to Grande Prairie than I thought. LOL.

Handsome Ben

After two weeks of "stench" Ben finally smells clean!!! He loves to run around at the farm and during our last visit he found a slough or two or maybe 3 I don't know but he was covered in "stench" and was absolutely "filthy"!!! I took him and Sam in to our groomer today for a bath, he must've smelt awful for he made her gag when she was washing him and had to wash him TWICE!!! Thank You Thank You Andrea at Andreas Pampered Pets for cleaning up my pal!!!

BFF's

 This is Ava one of Emmarsyn's BFF's, afterall you just cannot have enough Best Friends!!
Like Emmarsyn, Ava is the oldest in her family and a very friendly, outgoing, caring little girl. The girls have had a great time in Grande Prairie, they've made wonderful friends whom we will not forget!!

Bestest Friends

Ely and her Bestest Friend...Abbie.  It takes Ely awhile to get comfortable with people or at least most people, Abbie, however was the exception.  Abbie is a very energetic, outgoing, friendly, kind, and athletic little girl. She danced with Emmarsyn on Saturdays and went to school with Ely  during the week.  I'm sure both my girls are going to miss her when we move.  I know I will miss her and her Mom as well. They are very fun, friendly, easygoing people.

A playdate is just never complete unless there's playdough involved.

This little cutie wasn't too sure if she liked me or my camera. Her brother and sister sure liked the camera though.  There's more from this session on my other site, they were a FUN family to spend an afternoon with.

....sure looks FUN!! After finishing a family photo session I let the girls run around the park. Ely seemed drawn to the dandelions  and what a picture she is.

The Thunder Rolls

The thunder is rolling and the lightning is flashing and my poor Sammy is hiding in a corner shaking!!  I'm really NOT a fan of storms and prefer hiding in a corner with Sam however, I have to be the adult tonight as my hubby is NOT here to enjoy the storm!!   From what I'm told it appears as though Sam & I had better "toughen up" where storms are concerened as it seems Strathmore gets its fare share of them. UGH!

My girls are my MOST Favourite thing to photograph!!! Tonight I was going to capture how lovely the sky looked all nice and blue with only a few clouds, a very welcomed site after 3 days of rain. Then my youngest followed me out and started perfoming on the deck and well....how could I NOT capture her. 

 My oldest wanted in on the fun too. She stood in almost the same spot and the clouds have started moving in already. Sure hope they aren't carrying any mositure cause I've got some Fun photo shoots planned for the weekend.

What a dreary day!

Well it's day 2 of this dreary weather!! Tonight it's starting to thunder and I do believe I spotted a flash or two of lightning.  My dog Sam doesn't like storms of ANY kind and usually crawls into my hubby's lap and hides. Guess I'd best find him a good cozy spot to hide and feel safe in as hubby's not home until next week! From what I've been told, it seems as if Strathmore gets its fare share of storms. Well Sam you'll either get used to them or find a good hiding spot in the new house.
