A Gorgeous Night Sky

My first attempt at capturing the night sky. I used my tripod and set my camera to M with iso at 800, F5.6 and Shutter 1" with my 18-55mm lens.  It's not quite as clear as I'd like, we have some wonderful bright moons up here in GP and I was hoping to caputre it somewhat better but I'm quite happy with this shot.

I'm not 100% certain of my settings for this shot I know it was P, iso 800, F11.  I stood on my deck for about a half an hour changing settings and trying to capture this wonderful Moon and Sky tonight. I did remember to use my trusty tripod to reduce camera shake. Now to figure out how to sharpen the photo and lessen the glare of the Moon. HMMMM.. LOL Still not bad for a first attempt,

Hockey anyone??

This is a tiny creek on the edge of Grande Prairie (not far from our house) and no matter the weather you're guaranteed to see a couple of kids out here playing a game! Seems like those nets are just begging a kid to come and play. I suppose when you love the game you'll make a rink anywhere hey.

Playing or Thinking hmmm

A chip off the old block I'd say. When working on something I always seem to have my tongue out, it's a family trait handed down from my Mother and her Father.  As far back as I can remember Chester Bignell (my papa) always had his tongue out when he was working or thinking.

Miss Ely was hamming it up for the camera today.  My girls are always willing to put on a show. LOL Perhaps I should've named this "365 photos of my girls" LOL as I do seem to have a load of photos of them.  I'll enjoy it while I can cause they probably won't want to be photographed for much longer.

"On the Run"

Our "Ben" loves to run and play fetch, unfortunately after the first toss of the ball we lost it in this stubble field.  He sure had a fun time trying to find it though. I'm sure the farmer will find it this spring. LOL

The girls were having a good ol' time playing in the snow while Ben and I ran around the field.

"Error In Judgement"

I found this fella on my deck this afternoon, not sure what he was lookin' for. I'd best get rid of it before my dogs want a closer look at it.

A "Lovely" day in the country

This ol' barn needs some animals and perhaps some kids to climb the tree or a tire swing .

Remember When...

I love old barns and old homesteads....I can just picture some kids playing  hide and seek in these bushes.
